The Center for Educational Integration of Children and Students from Ethnic Minorities (CEICSEM) in partnership with Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" carry out activities to upgrade the existing training frameworks for different target groups. From the signing of the contract with the Program Operator of the "Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Improved Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups" program until now, TSOIDUEM and SU held 4 working meetings - on October 27, November 16, November 23 and November 24, 2021. during which details of the upcoming activities were specified. At the moment, the work is in an advanced stage and the prepared documents are being discussed between the two parties. The upgrade covers three existing training frameworks – for youth workers, for non-teaching staff and for educational mediators. Work is progressing to create updated methodologies and training programs to address the needs of the three target groups. Additionally, work is being done on the development of new training frameworks. For university teachers, a training package will be developed for the specialized training of pedagogical specialists to work with vulnerable groups. Also, work is being done on the development of a study plan and study programs at the SU for postgraduate qualification for the position of "educational mediator". The project also includes the development of specialized training packages that address the problems of discrimination and hate speech. The activities are carried out under project BGLD-2.002-0001-C01 "Building capacity for educational and social inclusion", financed under the Financial Mechanism (FM) of the European Economic Area (EEA) 2014 - 2021.
